If you need to travel outside of our bus zones, we have volunteer drivers who can help you. There is no zone limit to where the cars can go - we have gone as far as Portsmouth and Cheltenham, - so it is a medical/dental appointment or visiting someone in hospital or a nursing home, we can get you there! We DBS (police) check all our drivers and we make certain they and their cars are legal and safe. Our helpful drivers will help you get to the door if you have mobility difficulties. And if you need to make a journey outside of our operating hours, we may still be able to help you - come and talk to us.

What does it cost?

Currently just 50p per mile plus £5 booking fee.

We are a charity so the charge is purely to cover the running costs of the cars. Our volunteer drivers all use their own cars - fully insured and roadworthy of course!

Volunteer with us!

These cars are a vital lifeline for people who just can't use public transport for various reasons. If you have some spare time - a morning or afternoon - and a car, and would like to help local people and the community, we would love to talk to you. We cover your insurance whilst you are driving for us and we will reimburse your costs.
